About Us
We are an emerging boutique investment banking platform focused on companies at the intersection of media, technology, and consumer. We are building with urgency, ambition, and a high bar for execution.
This is an opportunity to join a small, entrepreneurial team and work directly with senior bankers on live transactions, client coverage, market research, and firm-building initiatives. The right candidate will bring strong analytical ability, excellent judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the energy required to thrive in both a start-up environment and a client-service business.
The Role
We are seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our New York office. This person will support M&A, capital raising, strategic advisory, and broader corporate finance assignments for companies across media, technology, and consumer. Because we are a lean and fast-moving team, the Analyst will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy. The role will span both transaction execution and platform-building work, requiring analytical rigor, commercial instinct, attention to detail, and a willingness to jump into whatever the business needs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, comparable company analyses, precedent transaction analyses, and other transaction-related materials
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, management presentations, buyer/investor lists, market maps, and internal strategy materials
- Conduct company, sector, and market research across media, technology, consumer, digital platforms, commerce, entertainment, sports, creator economy, software, and related ecosystems
- Support live deal execution, including diligence processes, data room organization, process tracking, outreach materials, and client communications
- Identify and evaluate prospective clients, buyers, investors, strategic partners, and emerging market themes
- Assist with business development efforts, including original research, sector theses, company profiles, and targeted outreach preparation
- Work directly with senior team members and take ownership of workstreams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Help build internal processes, templates, knowledge systems, and operating rhythms as the firm scales
What We're Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in investment banking or another transaction-oriented finance role
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, accounting, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and pride in producing polished, client-ready work
- Relentless work ethic, urgency, and a demonstrated desire to be successful
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate under pressure, and consistently deliver high-quality work
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and taking initiative without waiting for step-by-step direction
- Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about helping build a firm from the ground up
- Mature judgment, discretion, and professionalism in client-facing situations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
What Makes Someone Successful Here
We are looking for someone who wants responsibility early, learns quickly, and is energized by a small-team environment where no task is beneath them. The right person will be resourceful, autonomous, detail-oriented, and motivated by the opportunity to have a direct impact on clients and the development of the firm.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong academic record preferred
- Prior internship or full-time experience in finance, banking, investing, consulting, accounting, or corporate strategy preferred
- Must be able to work full-time in-office in New York City
