We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer 3 to support engine builds and testing operations in a fast-paced engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in tool design, standard work creation, and manufacturing process improvement. This role requires close collaboration with mechanics, technicians, production teams, and engineers to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing engineering support for engine builds and testing activities
- Develop and implement standard work procedures to improve efficiency and consistency
- Design tooling for engine assembly and disassembly processes
- Conduct time studies, motion studies, and workflow analysis to improve production rates
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical documents
- Review worker logs, process sheets, and specifications to ensure quality compliance
- Support work planning based on production schedules, worker performance, and machine capacity
- Prepare charts, diagrams, floor layouts, and material handling workflows
- Manage tooling orders and support BIQ walk-backs
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both lab and office environments
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Tool Design
- Experience in Standard Work Creation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology preferred
- Open to candidates with Associate degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
- 3–5 years of engine or engine testing experience preferred
- Internship experience may also be considered
- No Master’s degree required
