Position Summary
Azalea Residential is seeking a tech-savvy Data & Analytics Analyst to advance our Power BI reporting infrastructure and drive AI-powered automation across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in information systems or a related technology field, intermediate to advanced Power BI skills, and a genuine curiosity for applying AI tools to real estate and business challenges. Prior professional experience is preferred but not required — exceptional recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI & Business Intelligence
- Own, build, and maintain intermediate to advanced Power BI dashboards for portfolio-wide and property-level performance monitoring.
- Enforce data governance standards and integrate data from property management systems, financial platforms, and third-party sources into a unified BI environment.
- Automate recurring reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and improve delivery speed.
- Develop DAX measures, data models, and Power Query workflows to support complex financial and operational reporting – Preferred.
AI Automation & Process Improvement
- Identify inefficient workflows and configure AI-driven solutions using low-code/no-code tools such as Power Automate— no coding required.
- Build or assist in building AI agents and automated workflows that improve analytical efficiency and decision support.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AI/analytics technologies applicable to real estate data challenges.
Financial Analysis, Acquisitions & Reporting
- Analyze property and portfolio financial data (revenue, expenses, occupancy, leasing trends); assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Support acquisition activities: prepare market surveys, competitive analyses, and initial Proforma documents through deal closing.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership; collaborate with asset managers and regional teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, MIS, CIS, Computer Engineering, IT, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field required. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
Experience & Technical Skills
- Prior professional experience is not required — open to recent graduates with strong academic and technical foundations.
- Power BI intermediate to advanced proficiency required (DAX, data modeling, Power Query) — proficiency will be assessed through skills-based testing.
- Advanced Excel: financial modeling, complex formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
- Familiarity with SQL or comparable query language (coursework counts); Python/R a plus.
- Experience with Yardi and/or ERP/accounting platforms is a plus.
- Exposure to AI/automation platforms (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, n8n, LangChain) is a plus.
- Internship, capstone project, or coursework in BI, process automation, or systems integration is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Role primarily involves desk-based work with occasional property visits requiring walking and navigating stairs. Local travel requires a valid driver’s license and operable personal vehicle.
