Role Description
This is a full-time Management position, on-site role for an Underwriter located in Los Angeles, CA. The Underwriter will assess and analyze applications for payment processing accounts, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, conducting risk assessments, and working closely with sales representatives to evaluate client eligibility. The Underwriter will also work to mitigate potential fraudulent activities, verify business operations, and maintain accurate records of all underwriting decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing financial statements, identifying risks, and developing risk mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in financial and risk analysis tools, data interpretation, and compliance evaluation
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate documentation and meeting deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with sales teams and other departments
- Familiarity with high-risk industries, payment processing guidelines, and relevant regulatory standards preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in underwriting, risk management, or a similar role is an advantage.
- Experience in Merchant Services and Credit Card Processing.
