In this position you will serve as a DoD Financial Management Specialist providing various financial management functions involving the formulation, justification and or execution of budgets and accounting support for organizations, programs, or projects. Responsible for supporting the 448th SCMW strategic goals, objectives and deadlines. The incumbent has responsibility for managing and/or participating in planning, directing, integrating and executing all aspects of assigned programs.

- The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position IAW the national Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
Recruitment Knowledge Skills And Abilities
- 1. Knowledge of commonly used DoD accounting and budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to formulate, justify, and execute assigned budget in support of the mission, structure, goals, work processes, and programs of assigned organization(s).
- 2. Knowledge of DoD missions, functions, goals, objectives, financial management processes, and sources of funding pertinent to working capital fund and other support programs.
- 3. Skill in the application of analytical methods and techniques, mathematical and statistical analyses, and various cost estimating techniques to analyze and evaluate the effects of changes in program plans and funding and conduct economic and cost studies/analyses.
- 4. Skill in developing and implementing guidance that considers various disciplines, such as program managers, engineers, and logisticians for purposes of meeting program objectives.
- 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, clearly, concisely, to justify, defend, present, and or advise on budgetary processes/actions.
- 6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve budget/funding problems.
- 7. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
