JOB DESCRIPTION
The Service Agency, an insurance company located in downtown Ellsworth, Wisconsin, is looking to add a full-time Commercial Service Representative to help our busy firm with property, casualty, commercial, and sales support. You will often be the first point of contact for clients and prospective clients, so we need someone who can bring positive energy and a smile to work every day.
You will be responsible for providing outstanding day-to-day service to our agency’s insurance business clients and support to our sales team in the achievement of business goals. And if you are detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, can manage projects with ease, and thrive in a family-centered team environment, you might be perfect for the job. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Support
· Manage day-to-day client support activities to adequately service clients’ needs
- Policy changes, endorsements, certificate requests, and coverage quotes
· Conduct policy reviews via phone interviews and questionnaires/mailings
· Manage customer relationships to improve agency retention
· Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person promptly and efficiently
· Scan and file documents/locate paperless files quickly by filters/search
· Report & file claims/monitor the progress of claims and close out claims with surveys
· Answer product and service questions to include a broad understanding of product/liability coverage
· Answer billing questions, process payments, and manage accounts receivable
· Maintain electronic document storage
· Manage scheduling of client appointments
· Manage client’s information in AMS (agency management system), including contact info, policy information, billing, renewals, and pertinent information per the standard of Agency Best Practices
Sales Support
· Complete Acord applications to submit to select carriers
· Work with producers to help identify markets for various commercial exposures
· Identify risk management concepts to better serve our business clients
· Communicate renewal information with underwriters to help price and place coverage
· Review policy renewals with producers to ensure accuracy
· Follow up with endorsements processed by carriers to ensure accuracy
· Aid producers with quoting and renewal checklists
· Work with ownership & staff to promote a sales culture
· Communicate products or coverages with clients to help them better manage their risks
EDUCATION
· Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus; property and casualty insurance license recommended but not required
· Minimum two-year associate’s degree in business, communications, or marketing; or four years of relevant experience
· Continuous insurance training and product knowledge ongoing
SALARY & BENEFITS
· $44,000 - $48,000 depending on qualifications
