Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tile and Stone Estimator to join our growing construction team. This is an in office position, not a remote position. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for tile and stone installation projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bid to completion, contributing to efficient project management and cost control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your technical skills and industry knowledge to deliver exceptional results. This is an in-office position, not remote. Must have knowledge of tile and stone or general construction, at least 2 years experience of reading blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope of work for tile and stone installation projects.
- Prepare detailed estimates by calculating material quantities, labor costs, equipment needs, and subcontractor services.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create accurate proposals and bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets and identify potential cost overruns early.
- Assist in contract review and development, ensuring all scope of work is clearly defined and aligned with project requirements.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on tile and stone installation projects at least 1-5 years.
- Strong proficiency in construction estimating software tools.
- Must be able to read blueprints and well as estimate from applications,
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contract terms.
- Deep understanding of construction management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and project coordination.
- Knowledge of construction site practices, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
