Babcock Design is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Architectural Staff member to join our innovative design team. This role is open in our SLC and Boise office. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing architectural projects from conceptual design through construction documentation. Your energy and enthusiasm will drive the creation of inspiring spaces, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Assist in developing detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting tools to translate design concepts into precise technical documents.
- Support project scheduling efforts to ensure timely completion of design phases and deliverables.
- Utilize software such as SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to create compelling visualizations and presentations.
- Contribute to construction estimating and budgeting processes by preparing accurate material lists and cost assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers on construction management tasks, including site visits, quality control, and contract negotiations.
- Engage in business development activities by preparing proposals, presentations, and supporting client communications.
- Assist in the review of contracts and construction documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Participate in interior design concepts and renovation projects, emphasizing innovative solutions that enhance space functionality.
Experience
- Proven experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and techniques for managing multiple deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of construction processes, including construction management practices.
- Strong understanding of architectural workflows related to renovation projects and interior design.
- Experience negotiating contracts and working closely with clients or stakeholders to meet project goals.
