POSITION SUMMARY
The Controller position is responsible for managing and monitoring the financial stability of Hirschi Iron and Hirschi Powder Coating.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the accounting functions of the company, including cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, A/R, A/P, and payroll.
- Manage the accumulation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, internal controls over financial reporting, assets and accounting policies and procedures.
- Compile monthly financial statements for Hirschi Iron and Hirschi Powder Coating.
- Monitor the Work in Progress Schedule for Hirschi Iron and ensure it is accurate at month’s close.
- Compile, monitor and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
- Complete all paperwork, reports, statements, etc. required for federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Evaluate contract verbiage and negotiate favorable terms.
- Direct Reports: Project Accountant, Account Payable/Payroll Administrator.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Senior VP of Finance.
MUST HAVE — REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pass mandatory drug test required.
- Must have at least 3 years of direct work experience as a Financial Controller.
- Must have a sound understanding of financial reporting, CPA preferred.
- Must be competent in mathematics and can interpret complex financial concepts.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must have a BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other type of related field of study. Master’s level preferred.
- Must have the ability to lead a team of employees involving hiring, terminating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations.
- Must have advanced operational knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must be organized and demonstrate the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Must be able to read and write in English and/or Spanish at a level sufficient to follow safety instructions, complete required documentation accurately, and communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
NICE TO HAVE — PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years working for a construction subcontractor.
- CPA certification.
- Master’s degree in related field.
- Trimble/Vista operational knowledge.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
