POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Infrastructure Project Manager to join their Charlotte, NC team. This role manages a high volume of concurrent infrastructure projects through the full project lifecycle, from definition through implementation. The ideal candidate brings an Agile/Scrum background, strong organizational skills, and thrives in a fast paced environment managing 20–30 simultaneous short cycle projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the full project lifecycle from project definition and scoping through implementation and closeout.
- Maintain accountability for scope, cost, schedule, and quality across all active projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, drive milestones, and proactively track deliverables across 20–30 concurrent short cycle projects (average 60 day completion).
- Establish and maintain effective communication plans with project teams and key stakeholders.
- Provide day to day direction and guidance to project resources.
- Facilitate change management throughout the course of each project to ensure smooth execution.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, status reports, and budgets.
- Identify risks and issues early and drive resolution to keep projects on track.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated judgment, decision making, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Agile/Scrum methodology background with hands on experience managing infrastructure workstreams.
- Exceptional detail orientation with the ability to manage a large, concurrent portfolio of small projects without losing visibility into any individual effort.
- 0–2 years of project management experience; infrastructure project experience strongly preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, or equivalent project management certification (nice to have, not required).
- Prior experience in a telecommunications or large enterprise infrastructure environment.
- Familiarity with portfolio management tools and reporting practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an on site role based in Charlotte, NC. The position manages a high volume project portfolio with rapid turnover typically 20–30 active infrastructure projects at any given time, each averaging approximately 60 days in duration.
