LICENSING COORDINATOR
Who You Are:
The Coordinator Product Licensing supports multiple product licenses at Michael Kors. This employee will report into the Manager of Product Licensing and will be responsible for supporting the development of Watches, Jewelry, Eyewear, and Tailored categories, with a heavy focus on sales analysis as it relates to retail sales and product learnings for future seasonal development.
What You’ll Do:
- Key point of contact between licensees and internal design teams ensuring all Design/Product Development information is shared to external partners at critical seasonal milestones
- Manage seasonal product development calendars and book appointments accordingly
- Prep for all design meetings –category specific trend and pre meet sales review with Manager.
- Attend all design meetings; responsible for capturing and distributing recap notes, outlining follow-up actions, and supporting next steps, with the opportunity to independently lead tailoring design meetings
- Partner with Manager to author & present all seasonal design briefs across all categories.
- Attend all cross functional design meetings: responsible for taking notes and distributing information to the licensees
- Organize Men’s seasonal product and showroom walk through presentations with internal design teams/licensees
- Manage Licensing sample library and category specific internal/external Marketing/PR requests for seasonal style outs, photo shoots and look books, etc.
- Responsible for sharing all final asset materials to Licensees within established deadlines
- Monitor communication and partnership between Licensee marketing teams and MK Creative to ensure all projects are moving forward and completed on time.
- Manage seasonal looks/ownership documents by confirming product and partnering with licensees to confirm buys.
- Collect and edit wholesale marketing monthly deck and circulate to appropriate partners
- Monitor & analyze monthly sales reports and arrange regular touch bases with licensees to discuss sales and distribution opportunities.
- Create and analyze weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for all categories within all Michael Kors retail channels
- Request and prepare weekly/monthly sales and product bestseller analysis from all licensees, present information to team at key milestone times (monthly & quarterly business reviews)
- Responsible for ensuring all touch base agendas are updated in advance of meetings; ensure the appropriate amount of time is dedicated to each meeting to allow for calendar efficiencies.
- Understand key attendees at each meeting, ensure all meeting attendees have responded, communicate declined invites to appropriate team members
- Save down all documents to appropriate folder on licensing drive.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience in Licensing, Merchandising and/or Sales required
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data visualization
