Job Purpose:
Cerberus Real Estate Capital Management is seeking an Analyst to join its North American Real Estate team in New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team with a primary focus on opportunistic real estate transactions.
As an Analyst, you will assist with asset management of the existing portfolio, fundraising & investor management, and other internal reporting requirements. You will support the business through the creation and management of asset management materials, investor requests, and maintaining internal reports.
The role requires good industry expertise and real estate knowledge, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple business areas, external parties, and other stakeholders to assist managing the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Real Estate Asset Management / Acquisitions
- Support ongoing asset management activities across a diversified portfolio of direct real estate investments spanning multiple asset types and geographies
- Assist in monitoring asset-level performance, including financial analysis, variance reporting, operating budget reviews, and leasing updates
- Coordinate with property managers, operating partners, and third-party advisors to ensure execution of business plans
- Prepare and maintain investment tracking materials, including hold/sell analyses, capital expenditure reviews, and disposition strategy updates
Fundraising & Investor Management
- Support LP communications, including investor updates and ad hoc investor inquiries
- Assist in the preparation of materials for existing and prospective limited partners, including DDQs, pitchbooks, and fund marketing materials
- Coordinate with the Investor Relations and Capital Formation teams to support ongoing fundraising initiatives for Cerberus Real Estate funds
Internal Reporting
- Prepare and maintain internal investment committee materials and asset management reports
- Assist in the production of quarterly and annual portfolio-level reporting for senior management and fund stakeholders
- Maintain internal databases and tracking systems related to investment activity, asset performance, and fund metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with a preference for Finance, Economics, Real Estate or a related field
- Up to 2 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity, private funds investor relations, investment banking, asset management, capital markets or a related field
- Preference for real estate industry experience and familiarity with fund structures
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Argus is a plus; proficiency with AI tools and emerging technology to drive efficiency and enhance deliverables such as CoPilot, Claude or Chat GPT
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis; strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise materials
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to develop relationships and build credibility with different stakeholders across the firm
- Strong Work Ethic: Self-starter with a willingness to learn and apply knowledge
- Genuine interest in real estate markets, private equity, and capital markets
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $85,000.00 and $100,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package, and a robust benefits package.
