We're looking for a Senior Manager of E-commerce Marketing to own the full marketing function and directly shape the growth trajectory of our DTC company. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who thinks in terms of brand equity and lifetime value — not just clicks and opens. You'll set the vision, build the systems, lead a team, and hold accountability for top-line revenue impact across all marketing channels.
You've been in the trenches of e-commerce marketing, you know what good looks like, and you're ready to build something great.
What You'll Own
- Marketing strategy & roadmap — Develop and own the annual marketing strategy aligned to business growth goals, working in close partnership with the CEO, e-commerce, and merchandising leadership
- Performance marketing — Lead paid media strategy across Google, Meta, and emerging channels; set ROAS and CAC targets and hold the team accountable to them
- Email & retention — Drive lifecycle marketing strategy across email and SMS — owning segmentation, automation, list growth, and revenue attribution
- Brand & creative direction — Set the creative brief and brand voice standards; ensure all customer-facing content reflects a consistent, compelling brand identity
- SEO & organic growth — Oversee long-term organic strategy including content, technical SEO, and site authority building
- Analytics & reporting — Build a culture of measurement; establish KPI dashboards, own weekly and monthly performance reporting to leadership, and lead post-campaign analysis
- Team & vendor leadership — Manage and mentor internal marketing staff, and own relationships with agencies, media partners, and freelancers
- Budget ownership — Manage a significant marketing budget with full P&L accountability and a mandate to maximize efficiency and return
What You Bring
- 7–10+ years of digital marketing experience with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role in a DTC or e-commerce brand
- Demonstrable track record of scaling revenue through integrated marketing programs — you can point to numbers you've moved
- Deep expertise across paid search, paid social, email/SMS, and SEO — you know enough to lead specialists and challenge agency recommendations
- Advanced proficiency with Klaviyo (or equivalent), Google Analytics 4, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Ads
- Strong financial acumen — you understand unit economics, contribution margin, and how marketing investment connects to business profitability
- Experience building and leading high-performing teams; you develop people as deliberately as you develop campaigns
- Exceptional communication skills — you can present strategy clearly to the C-suite and roll up your sleeves to brief a designer
- A systems thinker who builds processes and infrastructure that scale, not just one-off campaigns
What Sets You Apart
- You've owned a P&L or held budget accountability at the brand or department level
- You have experience in licensed sports, apparel, or fan merchandise — you know this customer
- You've led or been a key driver of a meaningful revenue milestone (e.g. scaling from $X to $Y, or launching a new channel that became a top revenue driver)
- You have experience with Shopify and marketplace channels (Amazon, eBay) as growth levers
- You think about brand and performance as one strategy, not two competing priorities

- Competitive senior-level salary
- Equity or profit-sharing consideration for the right candidate
- Full health, dental, and vision benefits
- Generous employee discount on ChalkTalk SPORTS products
