Position Overview
H.C. Wainwright & Co. is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support our deal and coverage teams through the maintenance of internal databases and the preparation of high-quality pitch and marketing materials. This role is integral to the firm's day-to-day operations and offers meaningful exposure to the work of a leading sector-focused investment bank. It is well suited to an early-career professional with a finance or accounting background who values accuracy, structure, and professional presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, update, and audit internal databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across firm systems
- Prepare, format, and update marketing materials, pitch books, and general presentation decks for the banking and coverage teams
- Compile company, transaction, and market data from internal and third-party sources
- Support the standardization and continuous improvement of templates and recurring materials
- Coordinate with senior team members to gather inputs and incorporate revisions accurately and on deadline
- Perform quality-control checks on data and documents to ensure a polished, error-free final product
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
- Approximately 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in accounting, consulting, financial services, or a comparable analytical role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort working with large datasets
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, self-directed work ethic and the ability to take ownership of recurring processes

Compensation & Benefits
