The Role: Mechanical Engineer I
Location: Onsite in Florence, South Carolina
Type: Contract
What You Ll Do
The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineer support for elevator components. The engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, evaluating opportunities, integrating new component designs into existing systems and addressing turn backs while working to meet agreed upon cost and schedule commitments.
Typical responsibilities include engineering calculations and analysis, component design, cost analysis, test and documentation of a wide range of elevator components. The candidate must have a strong background in mechanical engineering, ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, ability to deliver assigned commitments on time.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in mechanical engineering or MA/MS degree with 1 to 3+ years work experience.
- Component, system modeling and design with Creo (Pro Engineer) or similar software
- Engineering calculations including Mathcad or similar software
- Engineering problem solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Must Work Onsite
- Self-motivated personality with a strong desire to continue learning
- Strong mechanical engineering background

- Time management to meet agreed upon commitments
