Sun Development, a growing, multi-state hotel developer, operator, and manager, is seeking a visionary Chief AI & Growth Officer to join our talented, experienced management team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a uniquely powerful role — equal parts strategist, technologist, and operator — designed for a leader who can think like a consultant and execute like an entrepreneur.
The CAIGO will serve as our internal AI and growth architect, embedding across every department and vertical to identify inefficiencies, design intelligent solutions, and drive measurable results. You will own the full lifecycle of innovation: from discovery and design through deployment and ongoing optimization. This is not an advisory role — implementation and accountability are core to your mandate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Revenue Growth & Yield Optimization
- Lead revenue strategy using tools like Lighthouse, IDeaS, and other RMS platforms to maximize rate, occupancy, and RevPAR across all properties
- Develop and implement dynamic pricing models, demand forecasting frameworks, and channel distribution strategies
- Design automated reporting dashboards and alerts that keep leadership and property teams ahead of market shifts
- Partner with sales and marketing leadership to align revenue tactics with broader growth initiatives
AI & Automation Strategy
- Serve as the company's internal expert on AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic and Python, and identify where automation can eliminate manual work and reduce error
- Build, deploy, and maintain custom workflows and automations across departments including finance, HR, operations, and guest services
- Evaluate and implement best-in-class AI tools for tasks ranging from document processing and scheduling to procurement and compliance
- Develop an AI adoption roadmap for the organization and train teams to leverage these tools effectively
Finance, Accounting & Payroll Automation
- Partner with accounting and finance teams to automate recurring processes including AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Identify and implement payroll automation opportunities to reduce labor hours and processing risk
- Design intelligent cost-control frameworks with real-time visibility into spend across all properties and entities
Operations, CapEx & Asset Management
- Create data-driven systems to monitor and optimize operational KPIs across properties — from labor efficiency to preventive maintenance
- Support capital expenditure planning with modeling tools, ROI analysis frameworks, and vendor comparison automation
- Develop standardized operating procedures that leverage technology to enforce consistency and reduce management overhead
Cross-Departmental Consulting & Implementation
- Act as an embedded consultant across every business unit — listening, analyzing, and designing tailored solutions to each team's challenges
- Own the implementation of every initiative you recommend — you are the builder, not just the advisor
- Establish KPIs for each initiative and deliver regular reporting to executive leadership on impact and ROI
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven expertise with AI productivity tools, particularly Claude (Anthropic) and Python, and a deep understanding of how to apply large language models in business contexts
- Hands-on experience building automations using tools such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), n8n, or custom API integrations
- Strong working knowledge of hotel revenue management systems, with direct experience in platforms such as Lighthouse, IDeaS, Duetto, or comparable tools
- Financial acumen with the ability to work alongside accounting and finance teams to streamline processes and reduce cycle times
- Track record of taking ideas from concept to live deployment — you build, test, and iterate in real environments
- Exceptional cross-functional communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in hospitality, real estate, or multi-unit operations strongly preferred
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities shift and resourcefulness is valued
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
In your first 90 days, you will have completed a full operational audit across our properties and departments, identified the highest-impact automation and revenue opportunities, and delivered your first set of implemented solutions — not recommendations, solutions.
Within your first year, you will have materially improved RevPAR performance, reduced administrative labor costs through automation, deployed AI-assisted workflows in at least three major departments, and established a continuous improvement engine that the organization relies on.
COMPENSATION & STRUCTURE
This is a management role with compensation commensurate with experience, including base salary, performance bonuses tied to measurable outcomes, and the opportunity to grow with a scaling portfolio. Specific details discussed during the interview process.
HOW TO APPLY
Please submit your resume along with a brief note (written or video) describing a specific automation or AI-driven initiative you led from idea to implementation and the results it produced. We want to see how you think and what you build.
