Key Responsibilities
• Manage procurement activities across a portfolio of IT infrastructure and technology projects.
• Coordinate the full purchasing lifecycle, including vendor quote requests, purchase order creation, order tracking, delivery management, and receipt verification.
• Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules, deployment timelines, and business objectives.
• Monitor vendor performance, delivery commitments, and order fulfillment to minimize project risks and schedule delays.
• Collaborate with IT Asset Management teams to ensure accurate receiving, tracking, inventory management, and lifecycle oversight of purchased hardware and software.
• Maintain procurement records, purchasing documentation, reporting metrics, and audit-ready records.
• Support project budgeting activities through cost tracking, procurement forecasting, and purchase reconciliation.
• Identify procurement risks and proactively implement solutions to avoid project impacts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Day to Day Responsibilities
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for hardware, software, networking, and IT infrastructure purchases.
• Create, process, and track purchase orders from initiation through delivery and receipt.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders regarding procurement status and delivery schedules.
• Monitor procurement requests and ensure timely fulfillment of project requirements.
• Update procurement tracking systems, purchasing records, dashboards, and status reports.
• Participate in project meetings to provide procurement updates and identify potential risks, issues, or delays.
• Work closely with IT Asset Management teams to verify receipt, inventory, and tracking of purchased equipment.
• Support financial tracking activities, including purchase reconciliation, budget reporting, and spend analysis.
• Manage multiple concurrent procurement requests and project priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Experience and Attributes
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, project coordination, project management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting IT infrastructure, networking, enterprise technology, systems, or data center environments.
• Proven experience managing a high volume of purchase orders, vendor transactions, and procurement requests.
• Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle processes, including quoting, purchasing, tracking, receiving, invoicing, and asset management.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent projects in a procurement, project coordination, or project management capacity.
• Familiarity with IT Asset Management practices, inventory controls, and asset tracking systems.
• Experience with procurement systems, purchasing platforms, ERP tools, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and process discipline.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and vendor relationship skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting infrastructure project teams, technology deployments, or enterprise-scale IT initiatives is highly preferred.
