About Ivy Invest
We're on a mission to help everyone build wealth like they came from it.
For decades, many of the most compelling investment portfolios in the world have belonged to institutions. University endowments and large foundations have built forward thinking portfolios across public and private markets that have outperformed traditional stock-and-bond portfolios over time.
Regular investors historically couldn’t access this approach. Until now.
Ivy Invest is a VC-backed fintech offering the first endowment-style investment platform for everyday investors. Our first product is an SEC-registered fund that provides exposure to institutional-quality public and private market investments. It's available to everyone: no accreditation requirements and at a $1,000 minimum.
We're a small team that moves fast. Our founders have managed multi-billion dollar endowment portfolios and founded multiple companies with 9-figure exits.
The Role
We’re hiring an Associate on our investing team. We’re not a typical investment firm, and this isn’t a typical early-career investing job. The role spans investing, communications, and hands-on company building.
On the investment side, you'll be a generalist: researching strategies across public and private markets, performing manager due diligence, evaluating portfolio risks and exposures, and contributing to investment decisions across asset allocation and portfolio construction. You’ll also support investment operations behind the fund, including building reports and presentations for our Board and investors.
On the communication side, you'll help us explain our investment philosophy to current and prospective customers: writing educational content, contributing to our weekly market updates, producing social and short-form video, and turning complex investing concepts into things people actually want to read and watch.
Beyond the investing work, you’ll be part of building a fintech company. We’re a small team, and you’ll have real input and impact across product, growth, marketing, and operations.
You’ll report directly to our co-founder and Chief Investment Officer, Wendy Li, who’s spent nearly 2 decades managing institutional portfolios. This is an NYC-based, in-office role.
You
- You have at least two years of relevant investing experience, ideally at an investment consulting firm or institutional investor, including some experience evaluating investment managers and strategies.
- You’re looking for a role with broader scope than the traditional path offers.
- You write clearly, specifically, with a point of view, and without fluff.
- You have a native intuition for social media and what works. Bonus points if you’ve built out your own social presence.
- You care about democratizing access to institutional-quality investing. Most of our customers are not the ultra-wealthy; they're individual investors who've been excluded from this strategy and finally have a way in. That should excite you.
- NYC-based
Comp
Expected salary range: $110,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, plus meaningful equity. You’ll be one of our earliest team members and have real ownership.

Email associate-job@ivyinvest.co with your LinkedIn and two short writeups:
1. An investment idea you've researched. What was the opportunity, what was your thesis, what did you learn, and what would you do differently?
2. A market or investing concept individual investors commonly misunderstand, explained for a smart non-professional reader. Under 400 words.
We care about how you think and how you communicate. Both matter equally.
