Job Summary
We are a Premier Custom Home Builder seeking to add an experienced and innovative Interior Designer to our staff full time that bring designs to life through creative vision and technical expertise. In this role, you will work closely with our team and homeowners guiding clients through design selection processes to develop cohesive, functional, and high-quality beautiful outcomes for high-end residential projects from concept through construction.
Please note the pay is starting at $30 but determined on experience.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with homeowners.
- Be ready and willing to work in a fast paced and results driven environment while coordinating your efforts with our design build team.
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts that align with client goals, budgets, and project specifications.
- Create detailed mood boards, elevations, and 3D visualizations.
- Prepare presentation materials to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Plan, schedule, and visit showrooms with clients to select the different design elements required in a home.
- Manage project timelines and documentation efficiently while coordinating with vendors, suppliers and our team throughout the projects.
- Oversee the procurement process for fixtures, lighting and finishes ensuring quality standards are met.
- Lead client presentations confidently while incorporating feedback into final designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends in interior design and innovative materials to continuously elevate your work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in interior design or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating project types including residential spaces. Educational background in architectural drafting and/or interior design. Minimum 5 years professional residential experience (high-end preferred).
- The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and assist clients with same
- Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling tools and visualization software to help cast vision for design ideas, draw tile pattern layouts, design custom railings, vent hoods, custom fireplaces, etc.
- Proficient skills in Excel & Word
- Solid understanding of drafting standards, space planning principles, color theory, lighting design techniques, and construction processes.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective partnership with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to interpret client needs into innovative designs while maintaining budgets.
