Job Overview
Connect Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Structural / Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting complex facility and infrastructure projects in Houston, TX. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support structural and civil engineering initiatives focused on renovations, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements in a technically driven environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and experience working with existing structures and building systems. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an engineer actively pursuing licensure who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.
Work Schedule
- 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM OR 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 9/80 Work Schedule:
- Week 1: Monday – Thursday
- Week 2: Monday – Friday
- Off every other Friday
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop structural and civil engineering designs using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and related engineering software
- Perform structural analysis and evaluations to ensure integrity, stability, and compliance with applicable standards and codes
- Support facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and building modification projects
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support successful project execution
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction oversight activities
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical validations
- Support drafting efforts and review engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain awareness of facility systems and related infrastructure components, including fire alarm systems
- Ensure projects meet safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required or actively pursuing licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of structural or civil engineering experience
- Experience supporting existing facilities, renovations, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, and structural engineering standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Technical Skills
Preferred experience with:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- MicroStation
- RISA-3D
- ENERCALC
- MathCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Bluebeam
Additional experience with project scheduling, technical writing, drafting standards, and construction coordination is highly preferred.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
