Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our DKNY Stores team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the buying and merchandising process, helping drive sales performance, inventory productivity, and seasonal assortment execution across the DKNY retail business. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong analytical and communication skills and a passion for fashion retail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Buyer in developing and executing seasonal merchandise assortments aligned with brand and business objectives.
• Analyze weekly sales, inventory, and performance reports to identify opportunities and support buying decisions.
• Create and maintain purchase orders, product setup information, and assortment documentation.
• Track deliveries and monitor purchase order status to ensure timely product flow to stores and e-commerce channels.
• Support inventory management initiatives through reporting, reorder recommendations, and stock analysis.
• Partner with Planning, Allocation, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations teams to support seasonal launches and product execution.
• Prepare presentations, recaps, and reporting for line reviews, business meetings, and seasonal hindsight analysis.
• Maintain accurate product information and merchandising data across internal systems.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Merchandising, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in retail buying, merchandising, planning, allocation, or a related function.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Advanced Excel skills including reporting, analysis, and data manipulation.
• Experience working with retail merchandise systems, ERP platforms, or inventory management tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

The pay range for this position is: $28.85 - $31.25 per hour.
