About the Role
We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team and support the design and development of Traveler’s Choice travel products. This role involves both creative design work and hands-on collaboration with product development and factories, from concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop travel products including hardside and softside luggage, backpacks, duffel bags, and accessories
- Create concept sketches, 2D designs, and visual presentations using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Review and evaluate 3D CAD files, provide clear design feedback, and coordinate revisions with factories
- Review prototype and pre-production (PP) samples, identify issues, and ensure designs meet Traveler’s Choice quality and brand standards
- Work closely with product development, sourcing, and overseas factories to ensure designs are feasible and production-ready
- Research trends, materials, hardware, and construction techniques in travel goods
- Support continuous product improvement and innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in travel goods, bags, or luggage design preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to review 3D CAD files and communicate design revisions clearly (hands-on CAD modeling is a plus but not required)
- Strong understanding of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes
- Experience working with overseas factories is highly preferred
- Familiarity with using AI tools to assist the design process (concept development, ideation, visualization) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
