Responsibilities
· Support all aspects of the due diligence process in evaluating new investments and add-ons, including but not limited to, financial modeling, business analytics & optimization, go-to-market strategy, legal & regulatory, risk identifications and management, IT, and HR
· Develop complex financial models to assess potential targets and performance of portfolio companies
· Support ongoing management of portfolio companies through various analyses and projects (financial, strategy, industry/market, etc.)
· Conduct company-specific and/or industry-specific research leveraging research reports, expert interviews, surveys, and data analysis
· Prepare investment memoranda and other materials required in the investment and fund management process
· Source potential acquisition targets through direct outreach, and developing and managing relationships with business brokers and investment bankers as well as manage and track various deal sourcing initiatives
Desired Skills and Experience
· Required: one to three years of work experience in investment banking or private equity
· Undergraduate degree from a leading institution with a strong track record of academic achievement
· Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and utilizing AI tools for efficiency
· Intermediate knowledge of accounting concepts
· Detail-oriented with strong financial analysis and modeling skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, including comfort representing RAF to a variety of senior-level executives
· Strong organizational skills, with an ability to multitask in an unstructured, small team environment
· Intellectual curiosity about investing, private equity, and business
· Willingness to travel for deal sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management activities
