Role Description The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Emaret Capital Group’s multifamily real estate portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely insights for leadership and investors. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and investment performance metrics, as well as monitoring budgets, variances, and key financial indicators for each asset and fund. The role will collaborate closely with acquisition, asset management, and investor relations teams to support underwriting, deal evaluation, and capital deployment decisions. The Finance Manager will also manage financial controls, coordinate with accounting and tax partners, and support compliance with relevant regulations and investor reporting standards. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, reliable availability during core business hours, and comfort working with distributed teams.
Qualifications
- Strong financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting skills, with proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.
- Experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and preparation or review of financial statements.
- Familiarity with real estate or private equity finance, including investment metrics such as IRR, equity multiple, and yield.
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting and tax concepts relevant to real estate investments.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
- Prior experience in a finance role within real estate, asset management, or private equity is highly beneficial.
