YellowBelly is a premium headshot and portrait studio with locations in New York, London and Los Angeles. We photograph actors, creatives and professionals, creating industry-leading imagery in a relaxed, collaborative environment.
We're a small, ambitious team who care deeply about creativity, storytelling and producing work that genuinely connects with people. We're looking for a Social Media Content Assistant to help bring the energy of our New York studio to life across social media.

The Role
- 2 days per week (9am–5pm)
- Flexible around acting, freelance and other creative commitments
- Based in our New York studio in Brooklyn
What You'll Do
You'll be responsible for capturing and creating engaging content from inside our busy studio.
This includes:
- Filming behind-the-scenes content during client shoots using an iPhone 17
- Editing engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn
- Creating platform-native content that reflects the YellowBelly brand
- Scheduling and publishing content with guidance from our Social Media Manager
- Working closely with photographers and the creative team to develop new content ideas
- Supporting social media campaigns and helping grow our online community
- Maintaining consistently high creative standards across every piece of content
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- Has experience shooting and editing high-quality social content
- Is confident using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Has a strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Has a great eye for composition, storytelling and pacing
- Is highly organised and able to work independently
- Thrives in a fast-paced creative environment
- Is interested in photography, acting and creative culture
- Brings positive energy, initiative and a collaborative attitude
Bonus Points
- Experience working with photographers, creative agencies or talent
- Understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms
- Experience creating viral or high-performing social content
