Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to lead our finance and accounting operations. Reporting to executive leadership, you will oversee all corporate accounting, internal controls, and manufacturing cost systems. The ideal candidate has strong roots in manufacturing finance and standard costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, and GAAP financial reporting.
- Cost Accounting: Maintain and optimize standard costing models for injection molding production, including resin raw materials and machine overhead.
- Asset Tracking: Capitalize, track, and account for the lifecycle costs of injection mold tooling and plant machinery.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze weekly manufacturing data, including scrap rates, machine downtime, and labor efficiencies to drive profitability.
- Budgeting: Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts aligned with seasonal retail schedules.
- Benefits & Insurance Administration: Oversee the company’s employee benefits programs, including medical insurance. Manage relationships with insurance carriers and brokers, including plan evaluation, renewal negotiations, and ongoing administration. Ensure the organization maintains cost-effective, competitive, and compliant coverage while supporting employee needs.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
- Certification: CPA designation is preferred (CMA is a plus).
- Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, with 3+ years as a Controller or Accounting Manager.
- Industry Focus: Direct experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, or high-volume consumer goods is heavily preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with manufacturing ERP software and expert-level Microsoft Excel.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
