Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be to oversee the success of the
sales performance of StonePeak Ceramics, within the assigned territory. The RSM will be responsible for selling the Company’s products, maintaining existing customers and clients, and soliciting and securing new customers and clients.
The RSM will frequently conduct business travel within their assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers, including distributor representatives, developers, fabricators, and others. During travel, the RSM will maintain client architectural libraries in a clean well-organized manner, physically replacing outdated sample tools and placing new products in libraries as soon as they are available. The RSM will emphasize new product promotion during sales calls, presenting actual loose product samples.
The RSM will provide clients with current pricing, product changes, and order status, working closely
with the Customer Service Department and their fellow Sales employees. They will multitask and
prioritize work through effective time management.
The RSM will schedule regular product knowledge seminars with distributor representatives, using the
proper presentation tools to clarify information – i.e., product samples, power point presentation
programs, and appropriate literature. The RSM will also work to promote StonePeak products at various tradeshows and special events.
In the pursuit of new business, the RSM will follow up on new and existing leads, and contribute
information to company reporting, including product forecast and production schedules. They will assist with the analysis of client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends.
The RSM will respond to the marketplace by acting as a knowledgeable rep with quick follow-up. The
RSM will provide the highest level of professional service by maintaining client concerns and complaints by developing viable and fair solutions, and following through on the resolution of all complaints to ensure that action has been thoroughly taken.
The RSM will maintain professional and technical knowledge of the Company’s products and the industry and will implement marketing strategies and assisting other employees in analyzing trends and results. The RSM will develop in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to the Company’s products and installation methods by attending vendor presentations, workshops, and joint sales calls with vendors.
The RSM will maintain positive business relationships in order to ensure future sales. The RSM will
expedite the resolution of customer problems in order to increase customer satisfaction, and will act as a support to both the customer and to internal employees working to resolve customer issues. The RSM will reach out to new customer leads to establish new business.
The RSM will ensure that sales goals are being met—both their own goals, and the overall goals of the
StonePeak sales team. They will coordinate sales efforts with their team members and with other departments. The RSM will accurately report the dollar value of closed and won opportunities, to track
the required revenue goals established for the territory.
The RSM will be asked to provide sales data and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis,
and will be able to assist in the analysis of that data and help to create internal goals based on that data for future years or quarters.
