Role Overview
Willow Behavioral Health is seeking a highly professional, strategically minded Behavioral Health Referral Business Manager support the continued growth and clinical impact of our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs in Wisconsin.

This role is instrumental in expanding our presence across the behavioral healthcare continuum while safeguarding the integrity, reputation, and clinical standards that define our organization.

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Development
- Establish and steward high-trust referral relationships with:
- Detoxification and residential treatment providers
- Hospitals, emergency departments, and crisis stabilization programs
- Psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, and specialty behavioral health providers
- Case management and care coordination professionals
- Community health systems and aligned healthcare organizations
- Function as a senior ambassador of Willow Behavioral Health within the provider community
- Strengthen clinically appropriate step-down and step-up pathways
- Communicate Willow’s treatment philosophy, clinical capabilities, and admissions criteria with clarity and authority
Clinical Alignment & Census Stewardship
- Generate referral activity that prioritizes patient appropriateness and clinical fit
- Partner closely with admissions and clinical leadership to support informed placement decisions
- Monitor referral patterns, conversion metrics, and market dynamics
- Identify strategic opportunities to enhance access while preserving clinical excellence
Executive Presence in the Community
- Represent Willow Behavioral Health with distinction across Wisconsin’s healthcare landscape
- Maintain a visible, credible presence at provider meetings, professional forums, and industry events
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to partners navigating complex placement decisions
- Promote Willow as a center of clinical quality and professionalism
Ethical Leadership & Regulatory Alignment
- Execute all outreach activities in strict adherence to:
- Federal Anti-Kickback Statute
- Wisconsin referral and patient brokering regulations
- Healthcare marketing compliance standards
- Organizational governance policies
- Uphold the highest standards of professional judgment and boundary setting
- Ensure referral relationships remain grounded exclusively in clinical need and patient welfare
- Protect the organization’s reputation through disciplined, ethical decision-making
Internal Strategic Partnership
Collaborate with admissions, utilization review, and executive leadership to:
- Strengthen referral-to-admission pathways
- Identify emerging market needs
- Provide field intelligence that informs growth strategy
- Support long-term organizational objectives
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
