Position Overview
The Investment Consultant will play a key role supporting an experienced retirement plan consulting team by performing investment research, fund analysis, reporting, and due diligence. This individual will help drive investment recommendations and strategic initiatives while gradually developing into a client-facing consultant.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and excited to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct investment research and due diligence for retirement plan clients.
- Analyze investment lineups, fund performance, and manager changes.
- Assist with investment reviews and annual client reporting.
- Prepare presentation materials and supporting documentation for client meetings.
- Support investment initiatives related to managed accounts and personalization strategies.
- Monitor investment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with senior investment consultants on client deliverables.
- Participate in annual investment review projects and other strategic initiatives.
- Over time, attend client meetings and take on increasing ownership of investment recommendations and client relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
- Genuine interest in investments, retirement plans, or wealth management.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where initiative and problem-solving are valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
