Company Description Dallas Housing Finance Corporation (DHFC) partners with housing developers to expand safe and affordable housing options for residents across Dallas. DHFC is a major owner of multifamily apartment complexes in the city of Dallas, with roughly 10,000 apartments in operation or under construction.
Role Description The Junior Analyst is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dallas, TX, with a combination of in-office and work-from-home responsibilities. This role supports data collection, analysis, and reporting related to affordable housing projects, financing programs, and organizational performance. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining databases, preparing spreadsheets and dashboards, assisting with financial and program analysis, and administrative duties to support senior staff. The Junior Analyst will help review project proposals, support due diligence efforts, and assist in tracking key metrics, timelines, and compliance requirements. The role also involves collaborating with team members on special projects, contributing to process improvements, and supporting presentations and written materials for leadership and partners.
Qualifications
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and prepare concise summaries and reports.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, including experience working with spreadsheets, basic financial calculations, and data validation.
- Proficiency in data and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic adobe acrobat tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and professional judgment.
- Interest in affordable housing, community development, public finance, or related fields; prior internship or entry-level experience in these areas is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, public administration, urban planning, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
