Position Overview
A growing financial consulting firm is seeking a Financial Modeling Analyst to support business valuation and financial advisory engagements. This role focuses on financial analysis, valuation modeling, and preparing reports to support mergers & acquisitions, ownership transitions, strategic planning, and other business initiatives.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Dallas- Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities
- Perform business valuations using DCF, market comparable, and other valuation methodologies.
- Analyze financial statements, identify value drivers, and build financial models.
- Conduct forecasting, scenario, and sensitivity analyses.
- Prepare valuation reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
- Research industry trends and market data to support valuation assumptions.
- Collaborate with senior team members to complete valuation engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Preferred
- Experience with Power Query or financial model automation.
- Interest in pursuing professional valuation certifications (CVA, ASA, or similar).
