Position Summary
As the Marketing & Events Manager your primary focus is to build brand awareness for four bars in Blackstone. You will connect us to the neighborhood, with the main goals to increase revenue and overall exposure. You will run our social media, build community relationships, and help drive business with fun events and sales initiatives. You will be expected to keep management up to date on local neighborhood happenings and Omaha area sporting and music events, coordinate private events, and keep our brands relevant and engaging.
In addition to marketing and event responsibilities, you will support other operations of the business as needed such as special projects, administrative tasks, process improvements, vendor coordination, and other tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, community-minded, and energized by a fast-paced and ever-changing position that contributes to the overall success of each brand.
Key Expectations and Responsibilities
· Create and post social media content that fits our brand, keeps our following engaged, and brings new followers to all platforms
· Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual across all platforms, promotions, and printed materials for each concept
· Stay in the know on local events and proactively bring promotion ideas to management and ownership to capitalize on any increased volume in the area
· Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, hotels, college campus groups, corporate offices, and community organizations to attract group outings and regular traffic
· Recognize and pitch opportunities to maximize the use of indoor and outdoor spaces
· Oversee the booking, staffing, planning, execution, and evaluation of private events
· Plan and execute promotions, theme nights, live music events, and giveaways that engage a wide range of guests from college students, to sports fanatics, to neighborhood regulars
· Work with management, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure events are executed smoothly
· Evaluate and track what’s working and quickly adjust when something is not
Experience Preferences and Requirements
· Experience in bars, restaurants or a similar workplace preferred, but not required
· Experience in marketing, events, sales, or promotion preferred, but not required
· Comfortable and confident with social media functionality and content creation
· Enjoys connecting with people and building relationships
· Friendly, organized, and provides consistent follow-through
· Can successfully juggle multiple projects, events, and initiatives
· Knows the neighborhood or is excited to learn it quickly
· Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and event nights
