Stewart Simmons is hiring a Wholesale Sales Manager to lead and grow the wholesale side of our collegiate apparel brand.
We are looking for someone who can do more than manage existing accounts. This person needs to actively drive sales, open new doors, build meaningful buyer relationships, and help Stewart Simmons grow across both major retail accounts and independent boutiques.
This is a hands-on sales leadership role for someone who understands retail, knows how buyers think, and is energized by building a wholesale business. The right person will be comfortable pitching larger retailers, managing boutique relationships, attending markets, following up consistently, and turning interest into orders.
If you are proactive, commercially minded, relationship-driven, and excited by fashion, fan communities, and collegiate culture, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Wholesale Sales Growth
· Drive wholesale revenue across major retailers, campus retailers, independent boutiques, and regional accounts
· Identify and open new wholesale accounts that are a strong fit for Stewart Simmons
· Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline with consistent outreach and follow-up
· Pitch seasonal collections, preorder opportunities, reorders, and special programs
· Develop strategies to grow both new and existing accounts
· Take ownership of sales goals and actively work toward achieving them
Account Management & Buyer Relationships
· Build strong relationships with retail buyers, store owners, and account partners
· Understand each account’s customer, product needs, buying calendar, and growth opportunities
· Make thoughtful assortment recommendations based on store type, team, region, and past performance
· Follow up on sell-through, reorders, missed opportunities, and future buying needs
· Provide a high level of service while keeping the focus on revenue growth
Markets, Events & Retailer Visits
• Attend key wholesale events and relevant trade shows
• Prepare for markets with clear goals, account lists, product knowledge, and follow-up plans
• Travel occasionally to visit retailers, strengthen relationships, and identify new sales opportunities
• Help ensure Stewart Simmons shows up professionally and effectively at every sales event
Sales Process & Reporting
• Maintain clear visibility into outreach, pipeline, account status, orders, and follow-up
• Use CRM, wholesale platforms, and reporting tools to track sales activity and opportunities
• Share regular updates on buyer feedback, account opportunities, risks, and revenue projections
• Help improve our wholesale sales process, including outreach cadence, account segmentation, market follow-up, and reorder strategy
• Partner with the internal team on line sheets, catalogs, product feedback, sales materials, and market preparation

• Have strong wholesale, retail, apparel, gift, collegiate, or consumer products sales experience

• Have experience working directly with retail buyers
• Know how to drive sales, not just take orders

• Understand seasonal buying cycles, preorder deadlines, markets, and wholesale follow-up
• Are highly proactive and persistent without being pushy
• Communicate clearly and follow through consistently
• Are relationship-driven and know how to build trust with buyers
• Have proven success managing accounts and driving revenue growth
• Are hardworking and able to pitch in to assist team members as needed
• Can work independently from home while staying accountable to goals
• Are organized and comfortable managing a sales pipeline
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
