Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems and products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and experience working with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems based on project requirements.
- Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using industry-standard design software.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analyses.
- Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and project teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design or manufacturing issues.
- Support prototype development, product testing, validation, and design verification.
- Prepare engineering documentation, technical reports, BOMs, and design specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and field operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or Siemens NX.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical analysis, stress analysis, and thermal analysis.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, medical devices, or consumer products.
- Knowledge of FEA tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Experience with CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal, casting, or additive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
- Experience working in regulated industries or ISO-compliant environments.
