Children's Apparel Network (CAN) is a leading apparel company specializing in children's, baby, and licensed apparel for many of the nation's largest retailers. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team in a key operational role supporting our sales organization.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring customers receive accurate and timely service. The role supports the sales team by managing order flow, tracking key milestones, coordinating samples, and maintaining accurate customer and order information within our ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain customer purchase orders within our ERP system with a high degree of accuracy.
- Monitor incoming EDI purchase orders to ensure they are received, processed, and entered correctly and on time.
- Review purchase orders for pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and customer requirements.
- Track order status and proactively communicate updates to the sales team and customers.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with internal teams to help ensure timely shipments.
- Prepare and maintain buy sheets, order trackers, sales reports, inventory reports, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports, and other Excel-based spreadsheets.
- Run and distribute inventory and WIP reports from the ERP system to support sales planning and order management.
- Pull, organize, and ship product samples for customer meetings and presentations.
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and item information within the ERP system.
- Process order revisions, cancellations, and other customer requests.
- Assist with customer inquiries regarding order status, shipments, and delivery timelines.
- Identify and resolve order discrepancies while communicating effectively with internal departments.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales support, order management, customer service, operations, or an administrative role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with ERP systems; experience with EDI order processing is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the apparel, retail, or consumer products industry is preferred but not required.
