Role Description The Corporate Finance Intern will work full time in a hybrid capacity, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting financial modeling, valuation analysis, and financial statement review for internal projects and client engagements. The intern will assist with preparing presentations, investment memos, and market research reports on alternative asset classes and prospective transactions. Additional tasks include gathering and analyzing data on SMB clients, tracking key performance indicators, and helping develop recommendations for capital structure optimization or strategic transitions. The role involves close collaboration with senior team members, providing exposure to both asset management and venture capital workflows in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, including understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling and Financial Analysis, with the ability to build and interpret spreadsheets and valuation models.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including quantitative reasoning, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Comfort with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent tools); familiarity with data tools or coding (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Current enrollment in, or recent graduation from, a bachelor’s or master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- Genuine interest in fintech, alternative assets, and working with SMBs; relevant internships, projects, or coursework are beneficial.
