AI-Focused Equity Research Analyst - TMT | New York
Our client is a highly regarded $15bn+ global multi-strategy hedge fund seeking to hire an AI-focused Equity Research Analyst to join its expanding investment team in New York.

Following the recent addition of a highly regarded Lead TMT Analyst, the firm is now investing heavily in building out its technology research capabilities. The Opportunity
The successful candidate will play a key role in researching and analyzing the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence ecosystem, with particular emphasis on:
• AI infrastructure and enabling technologies
• Semiconductor supply chains
• Chip architecture and efficiency
• Accelerators, GPUs, CPUs, networking and related technologies
• Data center infrastructure and buildout
• Power generation and power demand beneficiaries
• Crypto miners and adjacent infrastructure plays
• Large-cap technology companies benefiting from AI adoption
Working closely with the Lead TMT Analyst and broader equity research team, the individual will help develop investment views across the entire AI value chain while contributing to both long and short investment opportunities.
The role offers substantial exposure to senior investors across the platform and the ability to influence capital allocation decisions through differentiated fundamental research.
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with candidates who possess:
• Strong fundamental equity research experience from a buy-side institution.
• Deep interest in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, compute infrastructure, and related technology ecosystems
• Experience covering technology, semiconductors, communications equipment, infrastructure, data centers, power, or adjacent sectors
• Demonstrated ability to build detailed financial models and conduct rigorous fundamental analysis
• Strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding complex technological trends
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate investment views to senior stakeholders
• A collaborative mindset and desire to work within a team-oriented investment culture
