The Role
Do you already have five tabs of TikTok open, an opinion on every viral makeup or skincare product, and a knack for spotting a trend before it blows up? Memebox is looking for a creative, social-first Marketing Intern to help bring our portfolio of Korean beauty brands to life across North America.
This is a content-first role — short-form video, creative storytelling, trend research, community engagement, and diving into social analytics to identify what's working, what's not, and where the next opportunity lies. You'll support everything from product launches and retail campaigns to influencer partnerships, paid social creative, TikTok Shop, organic growth, and performance reporting.
This role is ideal for someone who lives on TikTok and Instagram, loves beauty and content creation, is comfortable on camera, and wants real, hands-on experience helping nationally distributed beauty brands show up on social media.
You'll work closely with the North America Marketing team — Brand, Social, Paid, Influencer, PR, and Retail — and collaborate with our Korea-based Creative and Social Marketing teams to help localize global campaigns for U.S. consumers. As priorities evolve, you may support one or multiple brands across the Memebox portfolio.
Each intern will focus on their brand (with a chance to cross collaborate):
- Nooni
- Kaja
- I Dew Care
Growth & Development
This internship is built to be a genuine learning experience, not just a task list — think mentorship, not just tasks checked off a to-do list. You'll shadow our Marketing team directly, with hands-on exposure across content creation, organic social, influencer marketing, community management, campaign planning, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
You'll also join during an exciting stretch for the brand — we're supporting two priority Target launches — giving you a front-row seat to how a major retail launch comes together from planning through execution. By the end of the internship, our goal is for you to walk away with stronger content skills, a broader view of social and brand marketing, and real experience juggling multiple live projects at once.
How to Apply
We want to see you beyond your resume:
- Show us your creative side. Send us your resume AND content [a link or file] you've made that you're proud of — a personal channel, a class project, a brand collab, or anything that shows your eye. Feel free to create something custom for Memebox. Send this to apply@memebox.com
- Meet our hiring manager. A video call to get to know you and talk through the role.
- Meet the team. Come into our LA office to meet the people and products you'd be working with.
- Onboard with excitement! Welcome to Memebox.

- Develop creative concepts that translate Korean beauty trends into content that resonates with U.S. audiences.
- Build a growing content library supporting organic social, paid media, influencer marketing, retail campaigns, and product launches.
- Capture content in-office, at retailer locations, during events, with creators, and around Los Angeles.
- Assist with light graphic design, thumbnails, text overlays, and social assets using Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, TikTok editing tools, or similar.

- Support ongoing testing of posting times, creative formats, and platform best practices.
Global Creative Collaboration
- Collaborate with Korea-based Creative and Social Marketing teams to maintain brand consistency.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to share U.S. market insights, consumer trends, and creative learnings.
- Help localize global creative assets for North American audiences while preserving each brand's identity.

- Help identify user-generated content and influencer assets for organic and paid social use.
- Partner with Influencer Marketing to organize creator content and flag top-performing assets.
- Support content tied to retail partners including Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Target, Amazon, and TikTok Shop.
- Capture retail visits, shelf moments, shopper experiences, product launches, and in-store activations.
- Organize content libraries to support cross-functional marketing initiatives.
New Opportunities & Business Streams
- Support the business case for emerging social commerce opportunities, including TikTok Shop Live, retailer live-selling programs, affiliate commerce, and potential retail partner activations (Ulta, Target, Amazon).
- Participate in live commerce testing — helping prepare product demos, promotional talking points, and consumer FAQs, and, where appropriate, going live to showcase products and capture learnings for future partnerships.
Reporting & Performance Tracking

- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reporting using Sprout Social, native platform analytics, TikTok Shop analytics, and internal dashboards.
- Identify creative learnings and recommend future content tests.
- Support reporting that connects social performance to broader marketing objectives.

- Comfortable creating short-form video from ideation through filming, editing, captioning, and posting.
- Comfortable being on camera for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and TikTok Shop Live.
- Strong verbal communication skills — able to explain beauty products clearly and engagingly.
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok Shop, and emerging social formats.
- Good eye for beauty content: texture, lighting, product application, packaging, color, pacing, hooks, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to write short, sharp, on-brand captions and social copy.
- Basic experience with CapCut, TikTok editing tools, Instagram tools, Canva, Adobe Express, or similar.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple content projects, deadlines, and feedback loops.
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working across teams, time zones, and cultures.
- Prior internship, campus content creation, personal social channel, UGC portfolio, beauty content experience, livestreaming, or creator work is a plus — not required.
Ideal Candidate
You naturally see beauty through a social lens. You know exactly why one product video feels scroll-stopping and another gets scrolled right past. You're energized by the intersection of K-beauty, product texture, consumer behavior, retail discovery, creator culture, live commerce, and performance-driven content.
You're just as comfortable:
- Filming application shot.
- Editing a fast TikTok trend.
- Pulling references from Korean beauty content.
- Appearing on camera to demo a product.
- Going live on TikTok Shop to support product education and selling.
- Commenting back to consumers in brand voice.
- Sharing trend insights with the team.
- Testing new formats without overthinking.
- Taking feedback from both U.S. and Korea creative leads.
