We are seeking a Quality/Test Engineer I to join our engineering team in Mossville, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career engineers with a background in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering who are passionate about quality, failure analysis, and material testing.
The ideal candidate will support product quality initiatives by conducting testing, analyzing material failures, developing quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on components and materials.
- Conduct quality testing and evaluate product integrity and reliability.
- Develop sampling procedures and maintain quality documentation.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports.
- Evaluate the accuracy and precision of production and testing equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives and root cause investigations.
- Support quality control processes across manufacturing operations.
- Prepare work instructions, quality records, and training materials when required.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science Engineering (Required).
- Only these specific degrees will be considered.
- 0–2 years of experience (Internships are accepted).
- Strong understanding of Failure Analysis, Ferrous Metallurgy, and Microscopy.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of CAD or engineering-related software is a plus.
