Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead all financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting activities for the assigned business unit.
- Partner closely with commercial and operational leaders to develop accurate sales forecasts across product categories and distribution channels.
- Analyze, interpret, and communicate financial performance, including monthly results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and budget-to-actual variances, to business unit leadership and executive management during regular business reviews.
- Develop financial bridge analyses to clearly explain variances between actual results, forecasts, budgets, and prior-year performance.
- Provide strategic financial insights, recommendations, and decision-support analysis to the Business Unit President and senior leadership team.
- Support long-range strategic planning, scenario modeling, and risk assessments to drive growth and profitability.
Pricing Strategy & Management
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of customer program pricing, marketing promotions, discounts, and related profitability analysis in partnership with Sales.
- Utilize pricing policies and market intelligence to evaluate and adjust pricing based on cost fluctuations, margin objectives, sales performance, and competitive positioning.
- Maintain and communicate pricing information through catalogs, websites, pricing tools, and internal systems.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Pricing teams to ensure pricing strategies align with product, cost, and market changes.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to support value-based pricing initiatives and maximize profitability.
Strategic Analysis & Business Support
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses at the customer, product, and channel levels to identify opportunities for margin improvement, revenue growth, and cost optimization.
- Develop business cases, financial models, and investment analyses to support new products, pricing strategies, and key business initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at addressing critical business challenges, including project planning, execution, progress monitoring, and performance measurement.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and business performance.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as directed by senior leadership.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, business finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Proven success developing and executing pricing strategies and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of enterprise business systems, including ERP, CRM, PIM, and WMS platforms.
- Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize stakeholder feedback, identify opportunities, and develop practical business solutions.
- Proven ability to solve complex financial, operational, and strategic business challenges.
- Experience managing significant business activities, projects, and resources while delivering measurable results.
- Demonstrated confidence in presenting and advocating recommendations while maintaining respect, collaboration, and openness to alternative perspectives.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
