Our client, a leading food delivery and technology company, is looking to hire a Sales Development I4 in Midland, MI.
Pay Rate Range: $26–$29/hour W2, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission
Responsibilities:
- Win new business across an assigned geography and contribute to overall market growth strategies.
- Travel throughout emerging markets to identify and develop new restaurant partnerships.
- Sell the value of partnering with the client to restaurant owners and negotiate revenue share agreements.
- Manage a largely transactional sales cycle and close new business within a short timeframe.
- Build relationships with local and regional restaurant owners and identify opportunities for new partnerships.
- Use inside and outside sales tactics to reach sales goals and expand market presence.
- Coordinate sales activities and market strategies with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established sales processes and travel requirements.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory, primarily within approximately 2 hours of the hired city, with occasional overnight stays and longer travel days as needed.
- Manage territory activities with an entrepreneurial mindset and contribute to scalable sales strategies and playbooks.
Requirements:
- 2.5+ years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related position.
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) is strongly preferred.
- Restaurant or food and beverage sales experience is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop new business and close sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and strategically in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop strategies and playbooks for scalable success.
- Ability and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners in destination markets.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays and longer travel days.
- Must reside within 40 minutes of Midland, MI.
- Base compensation ranges from $26–$29/hour W2, with additional commission for every new restaurant partnership.
- Target commission earnings are approximately $1,900 per month, with the opportunity to exceed this amount. Commission is uncapped.
- Ability to work standard business hours.
