Senior Cvent Platform Administrator – 6-Month Contract
Location: Foster City, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week
Contract Duration: 6 months

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cvent Platform Administrator to serve as a subject matter expert responsible for the hands-on administration, governance, configuration, reporting, and operational support of an enterprise Cvent platform.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Cvent in a complex or highly regulated environment and will be responsible for maintaining platform standards, user access, workflows, templates, reporting, data quality, documentation, troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior operational SME for Cvent administration.
- Manage day-to-day Cvent platform administration, maintenance, monitoring, and support.
- Configure and maintain account settings, workflows, templates, forms, fields, libraries, and platform features.
- Manage user access, roles, permissions, and governance controls.
- Create and maintain Cvent event, registration, budget, survey, Meeting Request Form, process, and reporting templates.
- Build, maintain, test, and validate Cvent reports and reporting templates.
- Perform data-quality reviews and resolve reporting/data inconsistencies.
- Troubleshoot complex Cvent configuration and platform issues.
- Maintain SOPs, configuration records, process documentation, templates, job aids, and decision logs.
- Support compliance, privacy, security, audit, and governance requirements.
- Manage intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution of Cvent administration and support requests.
- Provide advanced support to internal users, Cvent Champions, agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver Cvent onboarding, administrator guidance, and role-based training.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, process improvement, and platform optimization.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, IT, Procurement, agencies, and business teams.
Required Qualifications
- Cvent Account Administrator Certification – Required
- Cvent System Administrator Certification – Required
- Significant hands-on experience administering Cvent in an enterprise, complex, or highly regulated environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Cvent account architecture and configuration.
- Strong experience with user administration, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Experience with Cvent workflows, templates, forms, custom fields, and governance controls.
- Strong Cvent reporting, report creation, data validation, and data-quality experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and configuration changes.
- Knowledge of Cvent integrations and their operational implications.
- Strong documentation and audit-ready operating practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMP – Certified Meeting Professional
- 5+ years of Cvent administration, event technology, or meetings-technology experience.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of meetings and events operations.
- Experience developing and delivering platform training and onboarding.
- Experience supporting agency/vendor users in an enterprise Cvent environment.
- Experience with change adoption, process standardization, and continuous improvement.
Important Details
This is a 6-month contract position requiring local candidates who can work onsite in Foster City 3 days per week. Candidates must have both Cvent Account Administrator and Cvent System Administrator certifications.
