ROLE SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the day to day execution of the company’s marketing and communications initiatives. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, this role manages marketing channels and materials, including the company website, social media platforms, newsletters, brochures, advertisements, and multimedia content, to support promotional and sponsored events, internal communications, business to business sales, and recruiting efforts. This role shares direct management of the marketing team with the Chief Revenue Officer, and helps carry out B&I’s communications strategy and produces consistent, high quality messaging across print, digital, and video platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and businesses aligned with B&I’s mission.
- Coordinate community outreach and team building initiatives and track participation and results to help measure impact.
Marketing Management
- Coordinate and schedule executive and management participation in branding and marketing events.
- Execute B&I’s marketing plan in alignment with sales strategies and recruiting initiatives, and contribute ideas during annual planning.
- Work with business development and recruiting teams to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
- Develop, update, and maintain company branding materials in accordance with brand standards.
- Coordinate day to day work with external branding and marketing consultants and vendors.
- Organize and maintain all trade show materials, including:

- Booth design and visual assets
- Logos, promotional items, and marketing handouts
- Coordinate logistics for trade shows and industry events, including scheduling leadership and team participation.
- Coordinate sponsorship advertising and promotional items for events.
- Prepare and complete annual industry and local business recognition submissions, including but not limited to:

- Gulf Coast Business Review
- Southeast Construction
- Gulfshore Business
- Engineering News-Record
- Additional publications as identified
- Local ABC Chapters
- Research new industry recognition opportunities and provide recommendations to the Chief Revenue Officer.
- Maintain company website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely updates, including:

- Company content and photography
- Departmental changes
- Awards and recognitions
- Manage content creation, scheduling, and posting across social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, and track engagement.
- Coordinate the advertising process, including creative development, media placement, and vendor communication.
- Produce and maintain photography, video, graphic design, and print visuals, both directly and through vendors.
- Develop visuals, layouts, and creative assets for proposal submissions.
- Plan and execute company customer and partner events.
- Maintain, create, and periodically update B&I promotional literature to be used in submitting RFQs:

- Employee resumes
- Previous project write ups
- Maintain promotional literature for BIM, prefabrication, safety, community support, and similar areas
- Creating project specific RFQ submissions
Team Management

- Directly manage the regional marketing team alongside the Chief Revenue Officer, including assigning work, setting priorities, and providing day to day guidance.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training for the team.
- Hold regular check ins with marketing team staff and contribute to their performance reviews.
- Ensure brand standards and messaging are applied consistently across all regional offices.
Internal and External Communications

- Draft monthly and/or quarterly press releases for review by the Chief Revenue Officer, including:

- New hires and promotions
- New projects
- Company announcements
- Write copy for storytelling initiatives, internal communications, and executive remarks.
- Support public relations efforts and crisis communication plans under the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 7 years previous experience in marketing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supervising or leading staff.
- Familiarity with construction, particularly the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, social media management tools, and website content management systems.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage demands and can deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Possess strong time management, organizational and technical skills.
- Dependability: the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed for community and company events.
- Experience and/or common understanding of the commercial construction industry a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirements for the role are specified and are necessary to succeed in the role’s application of tasks. This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to perform tasks involving physical labor, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials, tools, or equipment. Manual material handling must be performed in accordance with OSHA safety standards and company policies to minimize risk of injury.
