Duties

- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, reports, and projections to inform executive decision-making.
- Manage budgeting processes, cost control initiatives, and financial forecasting to optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, and governmental accounting requirements.
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets.
- Supervise the finance team, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality financial operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments on business development initiatives, investment opportunities, and strategic planning efforts.
- Utilize data analytics tools and Excel data analysis techniques to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, and liquidity planning.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and board members with clarity and precision.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management or finance directorship within a complex organization; non-profit or governmental accounting experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards, and industry-specific financial regulations.
- Expertise in corporate accounting systems, technical accounting practices, cost accounting, risk management, and compliance management.
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, model development for forecasting purposes, and developing financial projection models.
- Proficiency in accounting software platforms combined with advanced Excel data analysis skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing finance teams; ability to motivate others toward shared goals.
- Exceptional strategic planning capabilities paired with a deep understanding of financial markets and investment management principles.
- Strong analytical skills for account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and account reconciliation processes.
- Effective communication skills for writing comprehensive financial reports and interpreting complex financial data clearly for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as ASC 606 revenue recognition standards; familiarity with public accounting practices is advantageous.
