Job Description
Support manufacturing of fiber glass pipe.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and production methods.
- Analyze production workflows to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, reduced waste, and improved quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing documentation.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including process validation and production readiness.
- Design or specify tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to improve productivity and repeatability.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve nonconformances and improve process capability.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Support capital equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and validation.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
- Participate in cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, material savings, and cycle time improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, or automation.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
