Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with the Advancement Director and collaborating with the Admissions
and Enrollment Coordinator, the Marketing and Advancement Services Coordinator
advances the mission of the Columbus Catholic Schools by supporting the Advancement
Director through comprehensive advancement services, while also marketing a mission-
aligned, positive image of the Columbus Catholic Schools in the community.
Working the Advancement office, the Marketing and Advancement Services Coordinator
will help create an efficient and task orientated office.
Advancement Services
Administrative support for Advancement Director as needed to support:
o Constituent relations: engaging multiple constituencies more actively in the life
and mission of the school system
o Special events: coordination and logistics for events that raise funds, build
community and cultivate major donors
o Annual fund: broad base funding from multiple constituencies in all amounts to
support annual budget and provide a “silent scholarship” to all students
o Major gifts: Gifts in excess of $25,000 which generally require specific cultivation
and stewardship efforts in close collaboration with the Advancement Director
o Special campaigns as needed for sustainability, capital projects, or endowment
o Planned giving: charitable gifts that are planned as part of a donor’s estate
o Grant research, writing and reporting: prepare grants for approval by
Advancement Director and/or President
Maintain the advancement/donor database
Ensure timely gift acknowledgement and stewardship
Promote and track annual fund giving
Assist with special events coordination and logistics
Serve as a member of the Advancement Department team with shared accountability for
department goals and initiatives.
Marketing
Develop and implement annual marketing plan for Columbus Catholic Schools focused
on mission-aligned image, advancement, and enrollment
Website administration and maintenance
Content creation and posting calendar for social media
Create press releases and promote earned media through print and news media outlets
Support administrative leaders and assistants with internal communication needs (parent
newsletters, emergency communications, etc.)
Content creation for advancement, including but not limited to alumni newsletter, annual
fund mailers, annual magazine, event marketing (support event committees)
Content creation for enrollment, including but not limited to admissions marketing
mailers, social media posts and Choice enrollment marketing
Brand management through ensuring the Columbus brand and logo are properly
represented in the public eye
Other duties as assigned by the Advancement Director and in support of the Admissions and
Enrollment Coordinator.
Qualifications
Alignment and understanding of the mission and vision of Columbus Catholic Schools
Powered by prayer and conviction of faith in Jesus Christ; practicing Catholic preferred
Bachelor’s degree in administration, marketing, communications, or a similar field
preferred
Strong in organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail
Team player with strong work ethic and communication skills
Experience in marketing and communications; ministry or non-profit experience
preferred
Experience in advancement efforts such as fundraising, events, and annual fund drives
Strong computer skills including database and website management
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to operate standard office software.
Occasional lifting of office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
