Accena SWPPP Services is celebrating our 20th anniversary and are looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive Business Development & Estimating Coordinator to join our Springville office.
This is a great position for someone who is confident on the phone, enjoys talking with people, is good at following up, and likes keeping information organized. You’ll work closely with our estimating and marketing teams to follow up on bids, communicate with contractors, maintain our CRM, research new construction opportunities, and learn how to estimate project bids.
Experience making professional or outbound phone calls is helpful. We will teach the industry. Having the right attitude, communication skills, organization, and follow-through are most important.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound calls to contractors and estimators to follow up on high-priority, pending, won, lost, and archived bids.
- Confirm submitted bids were received and didn't end up in spam.
- Call contractors to ensure we are prequalified and included on their bid lists.
- Maintain our CRM, including adding new contacts, updating information, removing outdated records, and tracking follow-up.
- Research upcoming construction projects, contractors, developers, and potential customers.
- Research city planning commission approvals to identify future construction opportunities.
- Track important bid, prequalification, renewal, and follow-up dates.
- Assist with Mailchimp and LinkedIn business-development activities.
- Provide backup support to our Estimator as needed.
We're Looking for Someone Who
- Is comfortable and confident making outbound phone calls.
- Communicates professionally and enjoys building relationships.
- Has excellent follow-up skills and doesn't let opportunities fall through the cracks.
- Is organized and able to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
- Takes initiative and doesn't let important tasks or opportunities fall through the cracks.
- Enjoys online research and finding useful information.
- Is naturally motivated by correctness and accuracy, seeing errors as failures.
- Is comfortable working with CRM systems, spreadsheets, email, and online tools.
- Is willing to learn and use AI and new technology.
- Is self-motivated and doesn’t need/want constant supervision.
- Knows word processing and has keyboard skills.
- Works well as part of a small, growing team.
Helpful experience: outbound calling, customer service, sales support, CRM/database management, construction, estimating, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, or business development.
