Beckman Print & Design is a locally owned commercial printer in Columbus with more than 40 years in business and an experienced, close-knit production team. Our digital work has grown fast, and we need a skilled part-time Digital Press Operator to help keep jobs moving.
Schedule: Monday & Wednesday 8am–3pm, Friday 8am–noon (18 hrs/week). Potential for additional hours as volume grows.
What you'll do:
- Run and maintain Konica Minolta production digital presses, including clearing jams, basic troubleshooting, and keeping color and registration consistent
- Prepare print-ready files: imposition, pagination, and multi-up layouts
- Produce, cut down, and check proofs before they go to clients
- Inspect output and catch problems before a job ships, including bleeds, backups, color shifts, and anything that doesn't look right
- Work alongside our art director and production team to hit deadlines
What we're looking for:
- Hands-on experience running a production digital press (Konica Minolta preferred; Xerox, Canon, or Ricoh experience also welcome)
- Comfortable with prepress and imposition software
- A sharp eye for quality. You know what a good print looks like and won't let a bad one out the door
- Able to work independently once trained
- Bindery or mailing experience is a plus, but not required
This is a production role, not a graphic design position.
