Do you enjoy interior design and helping customers turn ideas into beautiful rooms? Paperworks Plus is seeking a personable, motivated sales professional for our high-end showroom specializing in wallpaper, window treatments, shades, and drapery.
About the role
This is an active, consultative sales position. You’ll engage customers, understand their vision, and guide them through our extensive collections to create a coordinated design. Success requires initiative, thoughtful recommendations, and consistent follow-up.
What you’ll do
- Help customers select wallpaper, fabrics, and window treatments that suit their homes and style.
- Present samples and help customers visualize how their selections work together.
- Prepare estimates, follow up on inquiries, and close sales.
- Calculate quantities and review measurements and order details carefully.
- Use showroom software to manage customer information, estimates, and orders.
What we’re looking for
- Sales experience and a strong interest in interior design.
- Confidence working with discerning, high-end customers.
- Initiative and the ability to guide a sale from the first conversation through the order.
- Comfort with basic math and careful attention to detail. Window treatment orders require accuracy, though the math is straightforward.
- Strong computer skills; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- A polished, smart business casual appearance.
Compensation and atmosphere
The position pays $16 per hour plus generous sales commission. Commission is intended to make up the majority of your total earnings, so this role is best suited to someone motivated by selling and building customer relationships.
