Are you an experienced cabinet designer who knows how to turn a customer’s vision into accurate, professional cabinet designs? Do you understand how cabinet design connects with sales, estimating, engineering, and manufacturing?
Holman’s Custom Cabinets LLC is looking for an experienced Cabinet Design Specialist to join our team in Sparta, Tennessee.
We are seeking someone with strong cabinet design skills, experience with design software, and an understanding of the cabinet manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with custom, ready-to-assemble (RTA), and semi-custom cabinetry.
What You’ll Do
- Create detailed kitchen, bathroom, and other cabinetry designs based on customer needs and project specifications.
- Develop and revise cabinet layouts, elevations, and design plans.
- Work with our sales team to create designs that meet customer expectations and project requirements.
- Prepare accurate drawings and design information to support cabinet manufacturing and installation.
- Assist with estimating, pricing, and material takeoffs.
- Apply knowledge of cabinet construction, dimensions, materials, and manufacturing methods to develop practical designs.
- Coordinate the transition of projects from design through production.
- Work with custom, RTA, and semi-custom cabinet product lines.
- Communicate with team members to help ensure designs are accurate, efficient, and ready for the next stage of the process.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous professional experience in cabinet design.
- Experience using 2020 Design, Cyncly, or comparable cabinet design software.
- Strong understanding of kitchen layouts, cabinet dimensions, and design principles.
- Ability to interpret project requirements and produce accurate, detailed designs.
- Understanding of how cabinet designs translate into manufacturing and installation.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with sales and production teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in custom cabinetry manufacturing.
- Experience with ready-to-assemble (RTA) and semi-custom cabinetry.
- Familiarity with additional cabinet design software, including Mozaik, KCD Software, or similar programs.
- Experience with cabinet estimating, pricing, and material takeoffs.
- Knowledge of production drawings, cabinet construction methods, and manufacturing workflows.
- Experience improving design accuracy and efficiency between sales and production.
Compensation & Location
- Pay: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Location: Sparta, Tennessee.
